This has been a very busy week. And I can not believe it is only Wednesday. Here is my week so far at a glance.
Sunday:
Get the boys to our 9:00 church meetings. Forget I told Rob's Mom I would take her home after Sacrament meeting, so I drove her home and then went back for Luke's talk in Primary closing exercises. Then drove to Stake center for training meeting with Brush Prairie's primary presidency at 12:15. Sat through my 7th ward conference (only three more to go). Picked up my new VT companion (a YW) and we go visit our other YW. Finally at 5:30 I get to be home. Our HT come by around 7:30.
Monday:
Get up at 4:50 with Sam and David. We had a car in the shop so I took them to seminary. Went back to bed for an hour and then got Luke off to school. Went to work for 3 hours and then to Luke's class at 1:00. After that I cut out all the paper for the open house mural project while waiting for marching band practice to be over. Came home took Isaac to soccer practice and picked up David from practice. Fixed dinner and gave the FHE lesson. Got stuff ready for training class on Faith In God for Tuesday meeting and the refreshment table.
Tuesday:
Up at 4:50, drove Sam and David to seminary. Finished up getting stuff ready for meeting that night. Luke off to school and ready for VTs at 9:00. Got to work about 9:40. Made quick trip to Costco to pick up refreshments for meeting. Worked the book fair at the school 1:00 to 2:30. Went home and got dinner ready for Rob and older boys and took to David's soccer game at 4:00. Went home and changed into dress and got dinner for Isaac and Luke. Arrived at church at 6:30 to set up. Taught class and ran discussion with Stake Activities Day camp committee. Helped clean up. Went home and worked on mural for Thursday. Crashed into bed!!
Wednesday:
Up at 4:50 and saw boys off (yea the car is fixed and back!!). Went back to bed for an hour or so. Got Luke off to school. Went to work, it was shopping day. Went to bank and Winco and Costco. Met Rob for lunch. Then met with Rick to pick up fundraiser stuff. Unloaded groceries at home and then at Weiss'. Picked up Isaac from marching band. Came home sorted fundraiser stuff. Met soccer teams at 4:30 to deliver fundraiser stuff and dropped Isaac at soccer practice. Picked David and Isaac up from soccer. Came home and finally got to take off my shoes and put on my slippers!! Want to sit on the couch with a heating pad and knit the evening away but need to finish the Eric Carle mural for tomorrow night's open house at the primary school. Am so looking forward to bed time!!
Thursday and Friday are not as bad. Thursday involves work, visiting teaching (my regular partner and route) and the open house. Friday I work, help at the book fair and go to soccer games, David at 4:00 and Sam at 7:00. Isaac has an over nighter (need to pick up birthday present!) Sam and David will then stay the night at the neighbors to dog sit. If I could just find a place for Luke Rob and I could have an evening together. Will probably put Luke to bed and then try to stay awake watching Avitar!! (Yes we bought it. We were sucked in by the free popcorn, candy and little cans of pop!!)
Then the week end which this week does not involve a jazz band festival or dance festival practice. Isaac has a game. Rob and I are going to go to the temple. Then Sunday and we start all over again Monday morning!!
I am not complaining, I do love my life and my kids and my husband. I need to learn to say no, but when I say yes to stuff I usually don't realize it is all going to fall on the same week!! Millie

Strawberry Scones.....Oh Ya!!
I saw this recipe on someone's blog while blog hopping and thought I would try to make them. They are scones with strawberries and chocolate chips in them and then drizzled with chocolate. They don't look as pretty as the ones on the blog but man were they good!!
Here I am with my masterpiece standing in front of the mess made while trying to make them. They were a lot of work. I thought I might take some to my visiting teaching sisters but they did not make it through the day!! (I do have 5 guys living in my house!!) This is my really cute apron that Rob's mom made me for my birthday. It does clash a little with my orange striped shirt (which i got for $1.56 at Old Navy in my 20% off bag!!) but it did save my shirt from flour and strawberry juice. (And for the record I was not wearing orange to support the Phoenix Suns, we are strickly a Blazer family. I was wearing it to go to Isaac's soccer game and Battle Ground's colors are orange and black. I also have on my orange boots which you can not see as they are on my feet not pictured in this photo.)

The lilacs are in bloom...
Rob's great grandma planted a lilac tree in this spot. One year a wind storm broke the trunk and it fell down. There were some shooters from the tree and we left some in the same place and moved a few to other places on the farm.
This is the other tree, a white one that has a harder time because of the golden chain behind it and the cedar trees behind that. But it hangs in there year after year.
This is one of the transplants. This year Sam took on of the shooters from it and planted it in his little garden space. We will see next year if it blooms.
They are not only in bloom they smell wonderful. I get to walk by them every day on my way to the car and love it. Yea for Spring!! Millie

Hannah was home for a week....
and the only pictures we took were at soccer games!! She really got into the wearing black and orange and cheering for the boys. ( You will notice there is no picture of Sam in these. He was either practicing or playing soccer or going to a jazz band festival or going to dance practice or watching the Mr. Battle Ground thing. He is a busy boy!!)
Here are Hannah and Luke at Isaac's game. Do these pictures all seem to have a theme?
Hannah and Isaac before going to a game!!
Hannah and David watching Sam's game.
Hannah talked me into painting our fingernails orange for the games!! Things you do for your daughter!! Now she is back in Rexburg for the summer and we miss her lots!! She drove her car back all by herself. She is a grown up. Sigh!! Millie

I have learned why I am not a sport photographer and that in order to take decent action shots at a soccer game you need to have a more expensive camera and miss a lot of what is going on during the game while you focus on your subject!! I have also learned that unless your subject is...
....standing around waiting for the game to start...
....waiting for some one to throw in the ball....
....tying their shoe....
....trying to catch their balance after having saved the ball....
they may not be in the picture at all!! Here David has just kicked the ball up field and is out the picture on the left.
And here Sam is standing behind #11 having just passed the ball up field.
This is David following the ball after having kicked it up to his team mate.
This is Sam (in black with the yellow captain's armband) winning the ball.
I did get a few decent shots. Here is David fighting for the ball.
Sam is the one in the air on the right behind the white running player. (If the lighting had been different in the stadium this would have been a much clearer picture.)
David getting to the ball and sending it up field.
Sam is the black player in between the two white players. He has just kicked the ball away from the goal.
David about to send it! He does that very well. He has a really good kick and can put the ball where he wants it to go.
Sam about to do one of the things he is well known for, head the ball. We are currently attending two soccer games every Tuesday and Friday nights until the second week in May!! David is on the JV team which usually plays earlier and usually not at the same place as the Varsity games that Sam plays in later the same evening. But we love it and they are both fun to watch. Isaac is currently playing on a spring team and plays on Saturdays. I will try to get some photos of those games. Yes we are all soccer all the time!! Millie
