Saturday at fiddle festival.....

So every year our family goes to Weiser, Idaho for the National Oldtime Fiddlers Festival. On Saturday they have a parade and the final of the competition. Here are those who came with us, Isaac and Luke and Hannah met us there on Thursday, waiting for the parade to start.

Grandpa Frank always gets invited to ride on a float. This year it was with the onion skin players a local theater group who always seem to be dressed up as saloon girls!!

We go to what was once Fawn's Fudge and is now Weiser Classic Chocolates for lunch afterwards.

More of lunch. You can see Luke's Happy meal because he won't eat the delicious sandwiches served there!!

Grandpa springed for icecream afterwards. It was delish!! My favorite is bunny tracks.

Up at the high school where the contest takes place there is a vendor that sells food. This one is everything deep fried including cinnamon rolls and coke!! How do you deep fry coke you ask? Well so did I!! They mix coke in funnel cake batter and deep fry it in balls. They then roll them in powdered sugar and put into a cup. It is then topped with whip cream and drenched in coke syrup!! No I was not brave enough to try them. I am not a coke fan.

Grandma Julie in her cage up at the contest!! This is her domain and you better be nice to her if you want to get in!!

Hannah sporting Grandpa Frank's Saturday night hat.

Rob and Frank after the contest is all over going over the evenings events.

Me and Hannah!! Yes, we got a little sun that day. It was a good week and I will post more pictures tomorrow!! Millie
